Meet the Teacher
My name is Brittany Truitt. Developing children's minds has been a lifelong passion of mine. It began with working as a certified babysitter during my early teenage years. Then, I became a summer camp counselor in my late teens.
I am a mother of five and have always believed in providing early education for my children. I homeschool my children and they are thriving! They all have developed a love for learning and teaching as well.
I worked as a substitute in Wicomico County public and private schools while earning my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. The grades I worked with were Pre-K thru 1st grade. I obtained my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in February 2024.
I'm an active member of the Family Childcare Alliance of Maryland. I have a 4-star rating in Maryland EXCELS, which is a quality incentive program for childcare facilities. I am a dedicated lifelong learner and will always educate myself on best practices.
I put 100% effort into the children I work with. I've created a structured and carefully planned space, but at the same time, I am providing an environment that is safe, welcoming, and feels like a second home for the children. I have over 20 years of experience working with young children and will always stay current on the best ways to help them develop.
