Pre-K3 & Pre-K4 Program
Three and four-year-olds will participate in a Maryland State Pre-Kindergarten program that's implemented by a certified teacher. During the 180-day school year, we use a top-notch curriculum that is based on state and national standards. Technology-enhanced lessons will provide your child with a well-rounded learning experience. A combination of individual learning, large group learning, and small group learning will give your child the tools necessary to retain the material in front of them effectively.
All Students
Assessments are given regularly to assure you that your child is working towards meeting their developmental milestones and learning the skills needed for Kindergarten and thereafter. The assessments create a personal learning plan for each child where the parents and teacher work as a team to develop the children.
Your child will participate in hands-on activities and develop critical thinking skills. Not only do we teach academics, but we focus on developing the whole child. This means they will gain more independence, practice regulating emotions, promote health, and develop social skills by sharing and interacting with friends. Your child will be more than ready for Kindergarten with our program that is truly A Step Ahead.
We offer care for school-aged children in the summertime only.

Meals & Snacks Provided
Meals, snacks and drinks are all included in your weekly tuition. The menu exceeds USDA health standards and is carefully planned to include a variety of delicious foods. Sugar is limited, grains are whole, and many fresh fruits and vegetables are served. We serve breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
Daily Outdoor Play
When weather permits, we take the children outside to enjoy nature. There is a community playground adjacent to the daycare. There's plenty of room to run, play games, and there's also a set of swings.
Story time occurs outdoors as often as possible. There are activity centers outside that support all areas of child development. Sandboxes and water tables for sensory, playhouses & food items for dramatic play, scooters for large motor skills, and we are always adding more.
Field Trips
We will take the children on fun field trips a few times yearly. This includes the pumpkin patch, Salisbury zoo, and the local library. This comes at little or no extra cost to the parents. Field trips are a great way to have our children practice interacting with their community and bring our lessons to life.
Convenience and Peace of Mind
We use the Brightwheel app to make weekly payments.
There are video cameras mounted in the daycare spaces. They are recording during business hours for added peace of mind.
